The last thing you want in your resume, contest submission or first draft to your boss is a grammatical error that will make you look foolish. Not everyone is a natural when it comes to spelling, punctuation, grammar and style (AP, MLA, etc.), but I am. I'll review your document in a timely manner and provide you with an accurate, professional piece.

Rate: $15 per 500 words

Copyediting

In addition to proofreading and editing for accuracy, I'll provide suggestions for overall improvement and/or make revisions that are sure to make your piece more effective. The level of service depends on what you're looking for in an editor: Are you trying to improve your own writing? Or do you want me to deliver back to you material of the highest quality and ready to turn in? Ballpark, expect to pay $65 an hour for this service. However, I prefer to negotiate a flat rate for an entire project, based on your goals and what type of editing service you want.

Original Copy Writing

From corporate collateral to academic work, short reports and articles to fully integrated marketing campaigns, a menu at a pub to a series of brochures on retirement planning--give me an assignment (any topic, any audience), and I'll write quality copy to your specs and on time. Please contact me for a quote based on your needs. (Typical rate is $100 per hour, but you may have to pay a premium for a project that is very complex/research-intensive and/or on an extremely tight deadline.)
